Lots of pre-travel on trackpad (alien.top)

Whenever I click the trackpad, I have to push it down a fair bit before the actual click starts. It's like it has two clicks, to a degree that significantly affects usability. I am pretty sure, but not completely sure that it's gotten worse in the two or so weeks I've had it. Can I repair this myself or am I replacing it?

this is an AMD issue and not a Framework issue, so that's not one they can fix unfortunately
