How fun! Albertans are well known for responding rationally to being told how they should change their behaviour when faced with a large-scale crisis.

Waiting for someone to complain about the km range.

I love this so much. The raw superiority of EVs over ICE vehicles in so many aspects is astonishing.

I'm more of a glass-half-full kind of person. I think we should look at it as "Upcoming wildfire season could be best one for the next 50 years".

A fellow Great Book of Grudges enthusiast! I too started writing mine early. I have not purchased anything Sony since they put rootkits on their CDs in 2005. Nothing. Fuck Sony. And anything Intuit makes for multiple reasons.

And I am absolutely passing The Great Book on to my kids. They know exactly why we don't buy certain brands.

"Researchers say"

Researchers also say things they pulled out of their ass 90% of the time.

I agree. We also need regulation that makes manufacturers responsible for the end costs of their packaging and products. This kind of thinking is starting to come around, as municipalities and taxpayers have finally started waking up to the fact that it's ultimately our dollars that are paying for the corporations to create as much waste as they want. We're the ones that have to pay for the garbage pickups and the landfills where it all ends up.

Was this article written by an insane person?

the current Goldilocks state of the North American economy

What?!

Much of this conflicts with the view, widely expressed in some form by commentators and political leaders of all stripes, that Canadians will benefit if the prices of things like groceries and houses would only go back to the levels they were at in the good old days, say, before the pandemic, so that people could afford them.

....

so that people could afford them.

🤯🤯🤯

No shit?

God this kind of news is so trite. Post again when it's a tech bro deciding to go for a submersible ride.

Gus Carlson is a rich old white guy who works C-level positions with other rich old white guy companies in Downtown Capitalism. He has a clear anti-ESG agenda if you look at his "journalism" history - this kind of FUD article is just part of his agenda to continue fucking the planet for more profit for his rich old white guy club.

This is peak rich boomer bullshit - disparage and attack every attempt at improving technology and the world on the way to the grave.
