Lesser of two evils 🤔

None that I can think.

They're no slower from what I see on daily use and both are privacy focused.

They can remove adblocks all they want.

Private DNS will still exist, there's at least two that have noads DNS, Mullvad and LibreDNS.

They work in most browser's/devices etc.

Invest in a mesh WiFi network.

They can be pricey but perfect for old buildings with thick brick walls.

Is a distinct possibility.

Even now I come across US sites which don't work because they don't want to have the whole GDPR compliance for EU members, which is usually overcome by a simple VPN to Canada/USA.

Funny thing about this is that the very people this is supposed to protect are probably far more tech savvy than the dinosaurs writing the legislation.

Torrent sites are blocked in UK by most isps , does it stop torrenting? No. And this wont work either it will just restrict the internet for the majority to "protect" the minority.

So long as you trust that no means no.

I'm curious as I've been running DNS66 on my previous and current phone and whilst it does exactly what it says (blocks all ads across the device) my concern is that the last published update in fdroid sas 2021.

I'm currently running AdAway which has been more recently updated and does an equally good job of blocking in-app ads.

My question though is more, if the software is still doing what it was intended to do is there a fundamental risk in using software that is no longer being updated?

Colour me shocked that a Tory should found to be hypocritical.

We were both married and I was genuinely worried she might feel the same way.

Why ruin four people's live on an indulgence?
