I would recommend you to leave this unethical platform anyway.

Hello,

I downloaded SchildiChat to access matrix as their UI is more conveniant than Element. Exodus and TC slim however found "Google Admob" within the app.

As you can see on the screenshot. I asked developers about it, and they told me there's no trackers on the app.

Who's right, who's wrong ?

Thanks

Hello beautiful people,

I was wondering if you're aware of any ethical artificial Intelligence? Ethical meaning : "private", "anonymous, "not training with your data", "no censured", "open source"...

Is there anything available online or to install on a private server ? I was thinking to create a server with friends and install a personal AI for a small group of people on it. Or maybe a federated AI sharded among Fediverse ?

Would be nice if you've any open source code or projects out there ❤️

I saw that. I also realized that some of them are not only supporting it, but are also working for the government on this project.

Biggest threat for our privacy is real in Switzerland !

My point of views is it will be used more broadly, in every services. So, even if it will be "optional",there will be no option to choose not to use it.

End of September, Switzerland will vote for E-ID. A big threat for our privacy as it will widely used for tons of new use cases.

Behind the government pitch of an "open source project, completely optional" hides big tech industry... Which will make it mandatory to access their services.

What are your thoughts on that ?

Move to Qobuz which is more ethical

Note that Tidal is owned by Black rocks funds ...which make it very non-ethical platform

Recent news revealed that Spotify’s CEO Daniel Ek has been investing heavily in military tech companies, which adds another ethical layer to a platform already criticized for how little it pays musicians !

Spotify only pays artists about $3–5 per 1,000 streams, using a pro-rata model that directs most money toward major stars... By contrast, Qobuz (≈$18–20 per 1,000 streams) and Tidal (≈$12–13) pay far more fairly!

However Tidal is far from ethical. Most of its revenue is controlled by private investors and founders and small artists still earn very little...

More fair-minded platforms like Bandcamp, Resonate, Ampled, or SoundCloud’s fan-powered royalties prioritize musicians over investors.

With these more ethical alternatives available, why do we keep using Spotify?
