Like others have said, the community aspect of Lemmy allows me to follow things I enjoy, not people who may or may not post something I like. Additionally, even a simple algorithm that sorts content based on perceived relevancy makes it so I can see the stuff I want to see first (though someone did point out that that isn't entirely fair, but the "New" sort does provide that experience).

An "industry standard" that Google seems to have complete control over. Sound like another failed Google messaging app.

But please don't give unsolicited advice about Linux. No one wants that.

I think what's more convenient about an air fryer is that it is smaller than a convection oven. It's the next generation of toaster oven.

Probably because it is stupid simple to escape their ecosystem just by sideloading apps. They want to lock you down with their own OS.

As a driver for one of these apps it's more of a bid than a tip. People send me bids to deliver their food and I deliver to the highest bidder. It sucks because that's not what a tip is supposed to be and the majority of the delivery fee doesn't go to the driver. That's why I don't really order from these delivery apps myself anymore.
