I have about every Apple device you can buy. My poor devices list is astronomical. IMO, you’ll use the watch everyday, but it may not provide as much use as an iPad depending on your use case. If you have a MacBook/Mac mini/imac, skip the iPad for now. If not, they’re very useful. Another opinion, the full sized iPads are often too much hassle for me. Especially for reading in bed at night. My 12.9” iPad goes mostly unused except for WiFi hotspot. My 10 and 11” went to wife and kid with little use. But my iPad mini is used constantly. The mini is slept on quite a bit, but it’s the perfect size for me. Reading is a pleasure on it, and I can actually use the keyboard on the screen without needing to get a physical one to do any typing. There are plenty of other pros, but if I had to pick, iPad mini everyday.
