It fits the most original definition of meme, as a spread idea, but, any progression beyond that point and I think it falls off.

It isn't a shared joke, or even something like a trending hairstyle or theme.

If every sub-lemmy (I don't know the term for subs here) is political news, then this place is even worse than reddit was.
