Friend, I think you may have stumbled upon quite the lovely litmus test of a company's culture. Thanks for sharing that story.

Markets are closed today to celebrate MLK Day. Tomorrow marks a ton of state legislation getting scheduled as well. Gonna suck.

Bahaha. I guess I grew up with these in Utah and thought nothing of it it. Even made a couple in high school shop class.

Nope, certain eye drops can cause renal/kidney failure. Your eyes are definitely sensitive to other kinds of chemicals, but the eyes and stomach can be considered to be different bio mechanical factories

Understand that desalination is extremely energy intensive and takes a massive initial investment... Years ago.

Pilot here: while that is generally true, for aviation the rule is that aircraft types that are in the same category have to give way to landing aircraft. Ie, a hot air balloon doesn't need to give way to a landing fixed wing but a fixed wing and fixed wing do need to give way to the landing aircraft.

The Delta pilot should be commended and the B52 should have been more aware of their situation.

In addition, ATC clearance generally means you have right of way especially on a landing approach.

OMG, I'm trying to enjoy my vacation and I make the mistake of checking the news and seeing my police chief being a complete tool... again.

Russo is also infamous for stalking a city council member by parking at her house every night. He was dismissed from his previous department for very controversial reasons. He's the reason I gag every time I pay property taxes. We'd actually have a fairly progressive district (for Utah) if it wasn't for this ass-hat and the general car-brainedness of our city council.
