That’s just how eBay or any auction site works. Those have 4 to 30 days left and will go up in price. Look at “completed listings” for a better idea of current prices.

It's real, and it sounds like an onion headline, so nottheonion.

I’m in the US and I can’t say I’d heard of Oregon City before this post…

I feel like an anonymous survey would be much more privacy respecting than everyone commenting with their demographics…

I’m not sure if there’s supposed to be a picture or video but the media doesn’t load for me (both on web and iOS voyager app).

How is this different from existing USB cable testers available from places like Amazon and AliExpress? In reading the description I didn’t see anything that set it apart

There are a significant amount of questions here that do not follow the criteria in the sidebar, especially “1. Open-ended question” and “5. An actual topic of discussion”. It seems some folks want others to do research for them, or to troubleshoot some random issue.

This bugs me. Of course, I can ignore and/or downvote those posts, and I do. However, I’m wondering if anyone else feels the same way. I’m don’t want to stifle content and discussion on such a burgeoning platform, but could we do something about this?

Perhaps we could “tag” posts in some way (I know tags aren’t officially supported yet) or maybe we could redirect folks to a sister community for non-discussion questions. Or something else?

Just throwin’ it out there. If I’m alone in this, I’ll take my lumps and quietly sit back down.

EDIT: Already seeing good points in the replies! makes sense- probably a bit too early to be sticklers about topics.

EDIT 2: Really appreciate the responses and discussion! I appreciate the discourse and also not being downvoted to oblivion 😄

FINAL EDIT: Thanks to all who commented. It’s nice to know I’m not alone, but I do accept what most (including mods) have said- cracking down on the types of questions is not a priority when the community is still growing.

Similar products exist, but I don’t think any of the others have quite the same level of official and community documentation.

I did this once. A stranger asked me to hold her hand as we landed. It was the height of COVID and I was kind of wary, but I used some hand sanitizer before and after, and grabbed her hand as we hit the usual turbulence and bumps on approach. I figured if she was scared enough to ask a stranger to hold her hand, it would be meaningful to her to do it. We didn’t really talk before or after. Once we landed and started taxiing, she let go, thanked me, and I said you’re welcome.

I think when people say to but high quality items, they mean to spend what they’re worth. Getting the most expensive thing doesn’t really guarantee a quality item, but cheaping out makes it much more likely that you’ll end up with something lackluster. Plus, something like sleep can be fairly complicated and is connected to your habits, what you’ve eaten, or schedule, etc., so expecting a single change (pillow) to make a huge difference may not be realistic.

I want to be mildly infuriated, too, but I’m not quite sure what you’re trying to convey
