Messaging between iPhones uses iMessage and messaging between android probably uses RCS, both of which do not have the limitations of MMS, which is a limit of around 3.5 MB for most carriers. “Texting” pictures and videos from iPhone to android or vice versa will likely use MMS, hence the blurry media. Until Apple joins the party, the solution is to use another app like WhatsApp, telegram, signal, etc.

I think it’s more of a dislike for low effort fluff- just so happens that the new hotness for that kind of junk is AI

I would 100% call the cops on sovcit BS. Not 911, but definitely a non-emergency number. If there’s a chance they can get taken off the road, it’s worth the call.

Wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle. They keep releasing new expansions for free which is definitely admirable, but I can’t help but feel like they’re trying to build a castle on the foundations of a shack. Maybe it’s because procedural generation doesn’t mean the things that are procedurally generated will be interesting, or that the different game mechanics still feel pretty disjointed to me?

In any case, the options they added a year or two ago to fine tune the difficulty definitely made it more playable- not as punishing as a survival mode but not as lacking in impact as a creative mode.

As someone else mentioned “X coded” is becoming more popular. Originally, it referred to things like race or sexuality- where a character or race intentionally or unintentionally evoked stereotypes or traits associated with real people. It’s become a bit more generalized, as KYM explains https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/coded-slang

Is this supposed to be in response to another comment? Because you just commented directly on your own post

There are a significant amount of questions here that do not follow the criteria in the sidebar, especially “1. Open-ended question” and “5. An actual topic of discussion”. It seems some folks want others to do research for them, or to troubleshoot some random issue.

This bugs me. Of course, I can ignore and/or downvote those posts, and I do. However, I’m wondering if anyone else feels the same way. I’m don’t want to stifle content and discussion on such a burgeoning platform, but could we do something about this?

Perhaps we could “tag” posts in some way (I know tags aren’t officially supported yet) or maybe we could redirect folks to a sister community for non-discussion questions. Or something else?

Just throwin’ it out there. If I’m alone in this, I’ll take my lumps and quietly sit back down.

EDIT: Already seeing good points in the replies! makes sense- probably a bit too early to be sticklers about topics.

EDIT 2: Really appreciate the responses and discussion! I appreciate the discourse and also not being downvoted to oblivion 😄

FINAL EDIT: Thanks to all who commented. It’s nice to know I’m not alone, but I do accept what most (including mods) have said- cracking down on the types of questions is not a priority when the community is still growing.
