I find krita quite easy to use

Update: I deleted the files, nothing broke, but the computer keeps downloading it back. What should I do? (I already changed wallpapers and screen savers on all accounts to something else)

Why do Mac updates cost money?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

I'll try that. Still I don't understand why is anyone willing to spend 40+ GB on their disks just to get a cool wallpaper/screen saver combo, I think a better design would be streaming the screen savers from apple's servers, it would be unavailable without an internet connection but it's better than wasting 40 GB on the disk

Why are wallpapers over 40 GB? If I'm not using these wallpapers (I've been using use solar gradients since it came out) can I delete them (I have space to make a backup of them if I need to)?

After installing Mac OS sonoma for a few weeks my mac quickly ran out of storage. I did a scan using cleanmymac and found this huge folder in /Library/Application Support/com.apple.idleassetsd/Customer/:

I opened the folder and found it full of high-quality landscape videos, which is probably used for screen savers. Would anything go wrong if I delete everything in the folder and use the old screen saver?

If cmacked isn’t safe which website can I download Mac apps cracked by tnt? (Or other safe cracks)

I downloaded the installer from cmacked.com, and cleanmymac almost immediately recognized it as malware.

Thanks, that worked

But MacOS's pdf editor saves the file as PDF, which means I can't change a text box or drawing I already did once I save the file and delete previous versions. And I'm planning to switch to linux in the future so I want something open source.

I don’t have the tool selection menu on top of the document, instead there’s a menu called “tools” that I have to click in, and the tools are listed by names instead of icons which is confusing and hard to find.

Screenshot on my computer (after I clicked open the "tools" menu):

Screenshot on the official site (note that there's a tool selection menu on the top, inside the red rectangle, which is missing on my computer):

But which of these is available for Mac OS?

I tried this app before, but on Mac this app has a weird layout and I can’t even find the toolbar that is in the screenshot on the official site. How do I make the toolbar show?

The main features I want are:

  • Import PDFs and annotate them in the app’s native format (so that I’ll still be able to remove previous changes after I save and re-open it)
  • Quickly add text boxes anywhere on the PDF
  • Draw some basic shapes and lines with different colors (can either be notability-style “draw and hold to make shape” or just a classic “insert shapes” option from the toolbar)
  • Have a page thumbnail option and can search text in the PDF file and quickly go there

I'm on Mac OS sonoma beta and I've been using the solar gradients wallpaper since it exists. But a few days ago white vertical bars appeared on the wallpaper. When I switched to another wallpaper and switched back the white bars disappear. Yesterday the same issue happened, but when I switch back to the solar gradients wallpaper, the vertical bars are still there. Although any other wallpaper doesn't show vertical bars, I really want the solar gradients wallpaper back, how do I fix this?

This bot is made to talk in anarchychess-style, which makes it great at generating memes and copypastas. It can also give humorous comments on chess gameplay (though it sometimes hallucinates).

I made it based on claude-instant because claude is better than ChatGPT at creative writing.

I just switched from firefox to librewolf and I imported the autofill passwords through a csv file, but autofill isn't working when I log into websites (the autofill option doesn't show up when I click into "enter password") and I have to manually copy the passwords from about:logins. How do I fix that?

I'm switching from firefox to librewolf on mac, and when I open the "import data" menu on librewolf I can't find the "import from firefox" option. Screenshot above.
