I wish more games were small. Talos Principle 2 is 70 gigabytes, first one was more like 10. Bigger games is a problem for people in poorer areas.
Maybe, but I'm actually dronegender.
Well yeah, obviously, but personally I'm just as turned on by the drones, zerglings, etc.
Reddit power users always suck. So do Lemmy power users
Why do we need machines? Can't we just give her some food? "Hey momma octopus, have a Snicker's. You're not you when you're hungry."
Worth keeping in mind, though, teaching is a skill. I know lots of brilliant people who can't teach worth a damn. And humans are biologically hardwired for teaching. Imagine how hard teaching has got to be for an octopus.
I disagree. I think anyone can do politics. According to your definition, 10,000 people blocking the streets for a rally isn't politics. A man self immolating in front of the supreme court isn't politics. A scientist appearing before the UN to talk about the dangers of climate change isn't politics. That's silly. It's also a circular definition, given a politician is defined as someone who does politics.
But it's a video game. You can just reload a save until you get it right and get the XP for completing the quest. If you don't save the goblin, you won't be as powerful at the end of the game. It's ludonarrative dissonance.
Starship Troopers also has the joke earlier in the movie about the kid as a soldier, which becomes reality later on as younger and younger kids are drafted into the army. Maybe Helldivers should let you play as a child.

The player characters in Warframe are children and Warframe players all understand that the government that made them soldiers is evil.
Nah. If you love each other a proposal doesn't matter in comparison. Healthy love is bigger than that. A proposal can be a big moment, but not as big as actually having a solid relationship. You can fix it. And if you do, one day you might be telling that story at the wedding and laughing about it.
A personality disorder is not the same as a personality trait. A personality disorder is a disturbance in normal personality functioning, but it doesn't lock you into having one personality. People with NPD have a great variation in individual personality traits. A personality disorder diagnosis is determined on the basis of fitting a list of criteria, it's not a judgement of someone's entire personality.
Additionally, the article you linked says one of the leading indicators of criminal behaviour is "psychopathy". Psychopathy is not a personality trait, nor is it even a recognised psychological term. Although I'm short on time, I have serious doubts about that review's impartiality and proper use of the scientific method.
Finally, discriminating against people because a statistical model says they're more likely to commit crimes is some Minority Report bullshit, and it's also exactly how police treat black people. Profiling is wrong.

I hope Robert Beltran isn't around next season. Surely they can recast Chakotay. Maybe give the role to an actual native turtle islander?
