Lol: https://journa.host/@jeremybmerrill/110894894974135811 - New: Elon Musk’s Twitter (now "X") is throttling traffic to news websites and competitors he dislikes. Five-second delays on links to New York Times, Reuters, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky and Substack. Most other sites we tested have zero delay. (Then link to wapo)

IF you have a piece of fine gauge wire OR fine tipped tweezers, you can try again, BUT I can't assess your mechanical skills so I say leave it for now because I have no idea what's the state of the reader pins in that slot now.

Feel good fedi thread of the day or maybe week?

OP: As a blind Mastodonian who is made happy by alt text every day, I'd like to request anyone who feels inclined or able, to post and describe insects. I've really enjoyed the occasional alt text describing flying and crawling things.

The comments honestly are so layan and lovely. I very terharu ok, rl crying a bit.

Hahaha and here I am who've just decided to go back to my Flickr (they promised to federate tho) because I like the metapixl.com the best but the alt-text function macam broken (it says max limit is 2000 char but it actually cuts off at 150). Otherwise they have the best combo of features and storage tho.

Hmmm that e-wallet isn't quite like an ATM, so you can't withdraw it to get cash. You could send that amount to someone else's e-wallet first, who'd then send that to your PayPal or similar to get it back in euros. Considering the roundabout way, is it a significant amount? Anyone you know back in Malaysia who'd be willing to do that?

TLDR I can't figure out if there's a way to automatically return that value to you. It's like the money I've 'stored' in my oyster card or suica card (or even Starbucks card).
