Hello hello mystery solved. It's that collab editor could not be logged in user, because they save the gen as new gen. Instead, a good collab editor should be logged out to save any edit, which isn't mentioned??

In my test, it requires the gen owner to save to apply any edits. Gen user won't see any updates even after refreshing the tab. And the collab editor saving the gen will making a new copy.

All of the above seems similar to previous logic, but what about collab editors could make save like Google doc or Office 365? If it requires the gen editor to save it, it doesn't help much in a gen requires daily frequently updated by multiple different admins. It doesn't do much different then people just sharing the main account and taking turns.

The issue is before many try and error....how stable it is? If there's multiple dev, they should keep using the link for a long period without nuke the gen? It sounds nice but I am hesitate to try because safety first!

Second this, but my version of modification would be like:

  1. The gallery tabs should be horizontal with scrolling, not hashtags clouds. It's clumsy! Tabbed arrangements matches tabbed comment. A dropped down menu could also works.

  2. Post should be automatically smaller on smaller mobile device; or a toggle to switch all post to around 130-160px width. Nice grid example: Ideogram public gallery, which is also an AI image generator

it seems fixed.

It's a good idea and we already have that done. It looks much neat

https://perchance.org/ai-furry-generator (I don't know how to do it because it's other admin added it)

I'll give it a test while available, thanks

It's likely the bug happened only in "tabbed" comment? and I'm sure not the only one, because there are multiple feedback under the comment plugin.

Here's another "blank" gen waiting for cramp the comment until "load more" shows up. I hope this is "clean and blank" enough because I don't know how to build a tabbed comment from scratch https://perchance.org/tabbed-comment-load-more-debug

then I think I'll make a suggest for plugin update!

I am sorry it may be way too demanding, but is there a way to find where the style of original comment style?

Because using F12 console panel or checking comment plugin code seems still messing up and missing lots of pieces.

Functions like timestamps, reply quote, report and block, back to bottom, colorful ID visual, admin flair, delete....they are all crucial and I just want to add the avatar, not rebuilding a completely different one visually.

Thanks 🥺

It seems if we want to preserve the original comment bubble and style (timestamp, block, reply....etc....) It'll be something really not easy.

Thank you VioneT it looks decent!

https://perchance.org/comments-plugin-oncomment-example Simple: Allow users to add a URL at the end of their nickname, which is hidden from their displayed nickname, but used as an avatar pic.

According to the tutorial, it is suggested to be simple. But because I am a newbie, I won't even able to do it after explained like I was five.

If you click [load more], it won't load on newly loaded older post. they will escape the jail

Generally it's like that we have to visit the gen (and maybe chat consecutively) for 5 days for the "user" blue name command to show up.

The restriction is not only inconvenient, but also buggy. Users complained about not having access to user command for......reasons.

We could make nickname at once and freely changing them, and create account in any major website within 10 mins . It make no sense to wait for 5 days for a buggy blue name in Perchance.

Also the "low trust score" in blue name naming is another headache and I suggest removing it too

I noticed something odd on Perchance recently regarding how generators appear in the "Recently Updated" list. Specifically, our generator, ai-furry-generator, seems to be missing from the page even though it should be there. I confirmed its existence by using Ctrl+F and searching the HTML for // Manual block list, but our generator isn’t in the blocklist.

Within just 30 minutes, I tested across two devices and three browsers, and the issue persisted—our generator is simply not showing up.

Digging further, I found this line in the HTML:

// gens that are spamming save to stay at the top of the list for several days, but making literally zero changes.
// i think because they are earning affiliate revenue with their links

I understand the reasoning behind this. It’s a great idea to prevent abuse and ensure fairness by avoiding spammy behavior. However, in our case, we have multiple admins who frequently upload custom emojis, fix bugs, and ban trolls. This means multiple saved updates within a day are inevitable for maintaining quality.

It feels counterproductive that our efforts to consistently improve the generator and engage with users might be interpreted as spamming the update system. Isn't it reasonable to save progress often to avoid losing unsaved work or to fix bugs as soon as they’re found? Being dedicated shouldn’t feel like a punishment.

Maybe there could be better alternatives for showcasing generators instead of relying solely on "last updated" status. For example:

  • A "Trending" section based on popularity
  • A "Most Visited" tab
  • A "Newly Created" category

(Admittedly, I’m not sure how hard these are to implement—just throwing ideas out there.)

I want to clarify that my complaints are based on assumptions, but the fact remains: our generator is missing and not showing up.

I’d love to hear others' thoughts on this. Is anyone else experiencing similar issues or has insights into how this system works?
