Don't forget: new unverified accounts are capped at just 300 posts. Once someone hits the limit, there's also no way for them to see Elon's announcement of the change. Great design.

Sadly, I'm sure spez is taking notes.

I think you're pretty much right. Communities need to be big enough, not necessarily the biggest.

I'm noticing the same, but at this point I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or something real. Lemmy definitely feels like a breath of fresh air though.

I've been trying to get better about capitalization and stuff like that over the past couple months. Typically I switch styles depending on where I'm typing/who I'm talking to, but the more I think about it, it doesn't really take me any extra time to do things correctly on the first pass.

You should type however you feel most comfortable though, and in whatever way you feel captures your voice!

Are you referring to moderation and stuff like that?

I definitely think it's easier to participate when there isn't so much activity all the time. Things are getting busy on Lemmy, but still nowhere near the speed of the most active communities on Reddit. It actually feels like I can keep up on Lemmy, so I take more time to read through comments.

This probably isn't a good attitude, but I feel hopeless when it comes to the prospect of Trump facing any kind of meaningful consequences for his actions. He's gotten away with too much already, and I have no reason to believe that anyone will start holding him accountable now.

I really hope I'm wrong.
