I'm responding to a comment assuming it'll be nothing but a "pay to win" game, despite any real evidence of that - I'm pointing out the expectations of GTA VI.

This sub is like Reddit on steroids. Just a bunch of contrarian kids trying to start arguments on the internet. Bizarre.

Huh? For £70 I'm getting -

  • Huge open world
  • Very fun and emergent gameplay
  • Likely a world with multiple competing systems and subsystems to play with
  • Incredibly detailed world to get lost and immersed in
  • Given the RDR2 writing, likely a really well written story

But you've decided to latch onto one aspect of the previous game (the Online mode) to try to be as contrarian as possible?

I sure as heck will pay £70 for the above. And so will many millions of others. Sorry if that does a poo on your hate-train.

Clearly not enough, if they're desperate enough to lock client-side features behind a subscription.

can access files under Downloads

Wait, you can access local files on your phone's storage in the VM now? Is that a new addition? On the Android 15 version of this, you don't have any local access at all.

Sync for Lemmy refugee here - love your app. Thanks for your continued efforts.

Is there a way to change the default Feed? At the moment it defaults to All, but I'd like it to be Subscribed.

Edit nevermind it's right there in the settings.

I was hoping the Google TV Streamer would be the ultimate Shield TV replacement, but alas...

Maybe Nvidia will surprise us after the Switch 2 finally releases?

Well right now it's still just a VM and whilst you have root access you can't access anything on your phone as it appears to be sandboxed. Not sure about camera access.

But yeah, in theory you could use an old Android phone instead of buying a raspberry pi, for any little side project. Ideally Google adds a way to enable the VM at boot as right now you can't do that.

It's not that serious bro

They're satirical comments. They happen every single time one of these stub apps appear.

It's a 50/50 on the comments being "this app ruined my phone" or "this app made my phone better".

Nothing beats Google Photos for me, personally.

So I bought a used Google Pixel 1 (first gen) and use Syncthing to sync my camera roll from my phone to the Pixel 1.

Google originally advertised the Pixel 1 as having unlimited cloud storage for life, so they have to stick to it. I don't pay for Google storage but I've got at least 500gb stored in Google Photos (including all my RAW photos and my digitised VHS tapes).

I'll abuse this system until the Pixel 1 dies and I can't get another one, then I'll cry.

My wife keeps telling me she's feeling unsupported.

Oh I'd love to see exactly how you got banned. Chances are it was for a tad more than just "having a negative opinion about Samsung".
