So people paid Google 60 bucks to buy a wiretap for their house, now for evesdropping they get 10 back. These lawsuits in the US are nonsense

Nonsense, and their reasoning is bullshit as well. They still allow Grok and X on their App stores, Apps spreading CSAM, AI slop and false information.

Oh and the rigorous review system to keep Apps safe? Low paid kids that didn't make it in the customer service department. 0 technical knowledge required, but reviewing code.

You're lucky there, my experience is the polar opposite and more aligned with "I got nothing to hide" It's quite frustrating.

Ignoring the privacy implications for a second. The premium goes up for these models if you drive poorly. From a fuck cars perspective I say: raise the premium more, fuck unsafe drivers and their stupid spy cars. I have little sympathy

Just make it an Irish Whiskey, or Canadian... just from anywhere other than the US.

Please do not buy Ring cameras, Amazons vast surveillance network is a privacy nightmare and is also regularly accessed by ICE and other law enforcement.

Eufy cameras can be used with a home base and stay offline, recording to the SD card in the base. Or if you're into it, there are many self hosting options that give you much more control and options.

It would be great if people could stop using Meta services and software.
