It's by design: divide and conquer

People are fighting each other instead of the real enemy.

That's why elites and (quasi or not) dictatorships are winning.

Because the AfD is a Russian puppet party

I get what you mean, but I think bureaucracy is an inherently negative term.

I'd say policy and legislation can be good. Bureaucracy is policy that overcomplicates things.

Of course, what people call bureaucracy entirely depends on their incentives. For a CEO anything that makes it harder for him to increase profits (like privacy laws) would be bureaucracy.

Of course, the company is not altruistic, but it's privately owned and thus not pushed around by the whims of shareholders and short term profits.

You guys can do it. You've already managed to elect him twice.

Yeah, it sucks to write this, but the capitalists were simply smarter than everyone else. They've gotten to such a level of control and power that it seems like achieving any kind of systemic change is either incredibly, incredibly hard or isn't feasible at all.

So I don't think this situation is comparable to the time of past revolutions. There's simply too much asymmetry here in not just wealth, but also knowledge, technology, focus and so on. So many people are distracted by trivial things, and if they're fighting at all, than they're fighting their neighbors with a slightly different political view.

But ffmpeg is a small binary (compared to the others there) and still performs well

But it didn't produce a lot of carbon emissions like Gemini

Candidates being all garbage is exactly what you'd expect when they're just pawns for the people actually running the government (i.e. owners of big corporations).

Since they're shit, they're not popular and can't achieve much on their own. When they're not useful anymore they can be blamed and replaced by the next puppet.

Of course they're also shit, exactly because they're in the pocket of the very wealthy. In the US it seems even impossible to gain any significant position without their blessing.
