Seems my issue is with sync. Connect works perfectly.

I get this notification and whatever I post doesn't go through. Not a lot of info to troubleshoot...

I switched over to lemm.ee from lemmy.world but can't seem to post or comment from it. Always get an error about connecting to lemmy.

The .world account works fine, which is why I'm posting from there.

I hope I link this correctly

[email protected] needs some love

I was very ready to agree with 520, but did some digging first. I was thinking of an old app called Mailbox. It was bought by Dropbox and faded away after that. I loved that app a lot.

Now I can't tell if two people replied to the wrong comment or if it's a bug...

I think it only applies to posts

Rather than permanently hide all read posts or not at all, it would be nice to be able to hide them when needed. Refreshing posts or navigating to a community could load all posts.

I find turning on "mark as read on scroll" and "hide all read posts" too aggressive in its current state. Mark as read on scroll + a button to hide when needed/wanted would be much better imo.

And if posts that are scrolled past or images viewed could also be greyed out (like when clicking on comments), that would be fantastic.

Since the days of alien blue on reddit, I've always had a way to hide posts I've already seen automatically. Must have feature imo. Love that this app already has it. I want to suggest a few improvements:

  1. The option for posts on that list to be automatically removed. I.e. setting expiration to 2 days means that posts will only be hidden for a couple days and then come back and be visible again. Auto hiding posts is mostly good to not see the same things over and over again over a day or so, but after that, I'd like to be able to view the top posts of a community or look for a post I saw before without deleting my entire hidden post history
  2. Posts marked to be hidden should go grey, exactly like they already do when you open the comments
  3. Posts should only be marked for automatic hiding if they scroll off the top of the screen, not posts that I haven't scrolled past

Thanks for reading. I'm sure your to do list for this app is astronomical. Hopefully it has room for my suggestions too.
