Not sure if it's what you're looking for but I use https://photopea.com a lot, I didn't need Photoshop enough to pay for it and this is a very good alternative. It's a website but everything happens on your local machine.

On my iPad I also use Respite for pixel art since Aseprite doesn't have an iPad version.

Is he holding one of these?

We call it a sausage sizzle (democracy sausage at voting time) and they're delicious 🤤

Don't you know the poem? Water, water everywhere, so let's all have a drink.

Yep, and it's compulsory voting, on a sensible day of the week and even pre-poll so you can just go in early if you want to. And sometimes there are sausages.

So the opposite of Waterworld?

Oh inside the ship definitely, but outside space doesn't have a down. If a photon torpedo really hit the front it would push the ship backwards, not to the front and down. But it's ok, it's just a bit of fun 🚀

I hadn't watched any Trek in a while and in Picard there was a scene where their ship was hit and started listing like a boat and I was like "that's not how space works!", then remembered that's the thing with Star Trek.

Too many round corners and watching it this morning they've made a mess of their on screen graphics. There's a weird space in the bottom right and crappy orange gradients make it look like commercial tv... Was that the point?

If they do another generation leap they should just copy Scotty's TNG appearance with O'Brien, shot for shot.

Oh, no disrespect intended! Where I come from though we use cheese instead of curds, it's practically a national dish.

Cheese and gravy (not the Canadian thing)

I have a 2015 iMac 21.5" that has slowly ground down to crawl. I had this great idea of installing macos on an external SSD (Kingston 2TB) and run it from there instead but no matter what I try I can't get it to work.

At first I downloaded the installer for Monterey but the HDD isn't great and it kept crashing and restarting partway through.

Then I tried installing to the SSD from Recovery (internet recovery wouldn't get past wifi choice so had to use non-internet) but even though the installation went ok it continued to boot from the HDD and in Startup Disk the SSD wouldn't show at all.

Then I made a USB boot stick and did the same steps above with the same result.

The SSD has GUID map and I tried both Mac OS and APFS formatted.

Does anyone have an idea what might be going wrong? Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure if I'm doing this wrong but when I browse Everything I can swipe posts away to hide them. But on my local instance when I swipe I get a message the post is on a remote instance. Is there a way to change this?

I've tinkered with Linux installations before but the last time I made changes to a BIOS it looked 8-bit, not like a windows program (I use Macs, for reference).

I have a Dell Inspiron 5502 (2021) that I just want to remove Windows from and install Batocera for gaming, but I can't figure out how to wipe it.

I'm running Batocera from USB but when I go to "Install on a new disk" there are no targets available. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
