Could you copy/paste the post? I can’t view it because it’s tagged as NSFW and it’s trying to force me to use the Reddit app.

We got there safely - thank you for asking! Just had a couple cat incidents at the very end. But the cats were very considerate about making a mess on a towel and then not laying in the towel. Anyway. We just got the stuff out of the truck

Either are good. I found Lemmy.world more intuitive right off the bat, compared to KBin.social, from the browser on mobile (iPhone). Once I figured on how to turn on some accessibility settings on KBin (basically labels for all the things), I began enjoying KBin a lot more. KBin has more options for customization, and Lemmy is intuitive but doesn’t have that customization yet. Both still have a lot of development needed. Im probably going to stick with Lemmy for a bit because even with the customization that KBin offers, Lemmy is still easier for me to use, because I’m already used to Lemmy now

I can’t believe I only just agreed to moving two weeks ago and tomorrow we are actually doing it - the end of packing is in sight! Just all these random scattered things and the cats left to pack

It’s the UI that trips me up on KBin. It’s probably a lot easier for people using a desktop to navigate. But from mobile, it’s frustrating when I tap what I believe should be a button and it isn’t actually a button. The navigation of KBin.social is less intuitive to me than the navigation of Lemmy.world. Also, yeah, “magazine” is not an intuitive term.

This is cool

The bell icon says (1), but I have nothing when I filter by “unread” and when I filter by “all” it looks like I read everything

This is what I did:

Lemmy.world, On iPhone, in the browser, on the upper right hand corner there is a button with three horizontal lines. Tap that to open a menu, then tap “Create Community”

I don’t know if that will work with Jerboa though

Ahh thanks, I didn’t realize there was a tab for blocks. I was looking in settings but the settings menu stayed pulled down and covered it up

I didn’t know that button was a block button

if you are looking for the r/catsubs of the Fediverse, here it is! https://lemmy.world/c/[email protected] or https://kbin.social/m/catsubs Or Kbin search: @catsubs Or Lemmy Search: [email protected]

I can’t speak to whether or not those subs are “official”

Thank you. Search by URL still doesn’t work in browser or in Limbo BUT the link you posted works when I tap on it

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Tried in browser and one of the apps in TestFlight (limbo). Those didn’t work but someone posted a link here in the comments that actually did work! :)

Thank you, if it’s a matter of Lemmy.world not being updated yet then that makes sense. Your link works but pressing “subscribe” does not (it prompts me to login to KBin). Sounds like I just need to wait it out for the update. Thank you!

For example, I was told to search for [email protected] from Lemmy.world in order for Lemmy to fetch it, but searching that using Lemmy search doesn’t work. What am I doing wrong?

I sent someone a message and now I don’t know how to know if I get a reply. I’m using Lemmy from safari on my iPhone and I’m like a super noob here and I’m fumbling a bit
