I miss when web searches gave us personal websites of people passionate about a topic.

For me, with biking, I don’t just need a destination, but an objective.

So I’ll bike to get blood work done, then bike home. That’s a good 20 miles with a break in the middle for something productive.

Sometimes it’s the grocery store, or the post office, or the pharmacy. I start associating local destinations with exercise… as opposed to exercise for the sake of it.

Huh… devil you know vs the devil you don’t.

Hypothetically—say McCarthy’s butt is saved—What’s preventing the Republicans from immediately voting to dismiss him again?

I like the bit of world building that Caitians and Betazoids have a shared history. Both are (traditionally) neglected species, and we rarely get this sort of world building that doesn’t directly involve Starfleet.

Anyway, the fact that T’Ana had an uncontrollable and ingrained instinct to hunt them suggests that Caitians and Betazoids were originally from the same planet, which further suggests one or the other left for another planet.

I wonder if their (current) home worlds are in the same system.

The UN's 2021 global emissions gap report showed that governments' energy plans would lead to about 57% more oil, and 71% more gas in 2030 than is consistent with limiting global warming to 1.5C.

2030 is the current deadline for US automakers to dedicate no less than 50% of their production to be EVs. I’m certain there’s a lot of fine print under that… but still, I’m curious how that impacts those 51% and 71% ratios compared to current production. Like, how much headway are we expecting to make (or lose?) by 2030?

It’s plainly obvious more needs to be done… I want to know how much headway we’re making.

I was more referring to simpler things… like Safari Extensions or Utilities… or even filtering/searching by the app description instead of the over stuffed title.

Doesn’t matter how powerful the search is if I STILL can’t filter anything.

I’m more pointing out that a split in the majority leaves an opening for the third option. More the house speaker and less the presidency.

Well… when Teddy Roosevelt failed to gain the support of the Republican Party, he formed the Progressive party and republican voters were split between him and Taft, leading to Woodrow Wilson gaining the presidency.

So I looked up the specs for the first 5K-ish India car I found.

https://www.cardekho.com/maruti/alto-k10/specs

As far as I can tell, it has every feature you’re saying is responsible for western automakers charging around 6 times the cost of this car… sans heated seats and purported safety standards.

Chevy charges an additional $1K for the package that adds heated seats to their Bolt EV.

So, am I to take you at face value that you’re inferring that safety concerns and standards are responsible for the remainder of the price gouging?

No.

If the Jaguar were to harm a human, it would be put down.

Okay, that makes sense. Thanks for clarifying. 🙂
