Actually, I didn’t know. Never heard it used in an offensive context before today. But I’ll edit my comment just the same.

McMahan has previously tried to garner support for a LD movie, live action at that, but there’s nothing to suggest that it’s been greenlit. If anything, we may have gotten LD S5 instead.

Normally I'd agree with you, but Another Code: R interprets the Hotel Dusk/Last Window split screen gimmick quite well, and they used it in the Switch game as well.

Hmm… The games are indeed wildly different, and there are some subtle story changes (mostly to fix retcons with R, but D gets a little more to do).

But regardless of if you think playing the same story on both hardware is worth it, the Switch game has 'Another Code: R' bundled in, which makes it a MUCH fuller experience than the DS title.

(That said, I do think all of CiNG's DS games (Hotel Dusk, Last Window, Again: Eye of Providence, and Trace Memory) are all worth playing at least once to experience the unprecedented creativity in puzzle design. Though I will admit that Again took a couple of chapters before it grew on me.)

While I’m personally not a fan of Khan, I’m glad this series is going to see the light of day. If this old Variety Article is to believed, it was originally going to be a full streaming series. And we’re almost on the cusp of Academy.

Half memories from 3rd grade science…

Water droplets must form around impurities. The those microplastics aren’t just going to rain down on us, they’re the founding particles of that rain.

It’s hubris to make that assumption.

We all take things at face value.

We don’t read every article.

We don’t always ask ourselves why a figure is saying something.

We may not be as bad as conservatives, but it’s folly to presume we’re immune. If anything, we need to be all the more diligent.

Sounds like Namco is now technically a 2nd party developer now?

I imagine that too, but I still find it a curious omission.

The UN's 2021 global emissions gap report showed that governments' energy plans would lead to about 57% more oil, and 71% more gas in 2030 than is consistent with limiting global warming to 1.5C.

2030 is the current deadline for US automakers to dedicate no less than 50% of their production to be EVs. I’m certain there’s a lot of fine print under that… but still, I’m curious how that impacts those 51% and 71% ratios compared to current production. Like, how much headway are we expecting to make (or lose?) by 2030?

It’s plainly obvious more needs to be done… I want to know how much headway we’re making.

TBH, I think the Startrek Community has the right idea.

I believe Lemmy instances should treat themselves like ye olde message boards. Have a specific interest and accommodate it. So a Star Wars instance, a Marvel Instance, a DIY instance etc… They should act like message boards, but with the key advantage of linking up with the greater federation.

Things like geography aren't very conducive to finding content you're interested in.
