The article said it had a source linking the two events, then has a post-publication addendum that Roku denies any connection.

I agree with you that the timing is suspect.

This is a possibility, although the descriptions I can find are pretty limited. One mentions that the protagonist is a mall-rat. Any guess on when the book is set?

Edit: This was written in 96, which would have been too late. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

I love this image so much, but can never find the appropriate occasion to share it. Every time I see it in my saved photos it makes me giggle.

I recently switched to decaf tea each morning, and the ritual around it certainly feels like I'm brewing up a potion. Some mornings it's a potion of "I got this." Other days, it's a hex against my coworkers. Each tea has its own limitless possibility.

I'm volunteering tonight at a community concert in the park, but then the rest of the weekend will be MEGA LAUNDRY EXTRAVAGANZA. If I can get it all done before the farmer's market closes on Sunday, I hope to make a trip out there... but realistically, I'll probably be too worn out by then.

The implication is that a vegetarian may have little or no basis for comparison, but OP can speak with some authority.

Whoa sibling. I didn't understand your response until I looked through that comment history. Thanks for helping me to look deeper.

My Dad and brother attended. We were in my Dad's hometown for the week, staying with different family members. We live 6, 18, & 36 hours' drive away from that town.

I literally wanted her to allow my dog to exist in her backyard for 90 minutes.

On grad stuff, I've always felt as you do. I even gave up my seat so she could go.

It's kind of amazing how insightful you are. My mom, Gin's sister died years ago. She seemed to harbor some hatred for my dad, even though he had nothing to do with her death. She literally didn't want them around.

Yeah, it was rude to ask for her to (only) house my dog while we had dinner. I believed that family do these kinds of things in times of loss.

It's complicated by her resuming a relationship with my brother, who pressures me regularly to heal this.

"misogyny is silly"

In a universe of corsets and decon gel, you might have missed some rather large cues.

It's a fair assessment. IMO, the first two episodes felt like a cross between knock-off contemporary Star Wars and Guardians of the Galaxy. But it's growing on me now.
