I couldn't agree more! I didn't care much for him last season โ not as James Kirk, y'know? He was a likable enough character, I guess, but he wasn't KIRK. That changed in S02E03, though. We got a glimpse of the charm, the humour, and the bravado that make Kirk so distinct, and now I'm digging him a lot.
