The worst part for me is mixing sayings and the construction of sentences. I've never been that good at English grammar, but after using English more and more, my grammar in my native language have gotten worse. I'm half way in a sentence, in my native language, before I notice I've started on an English saying, but directly translated to my native language and it makes no sense. But, there's no cow on the ice, as you say, because my wife and I are like pots and pans, as you also say; we are the same way.
Thanks. We gave him ten good years. He was found alone in the woods, only 10 weeks old. He was so thin and had Giardia. We got him cured but he needed a special diet his entire life, was often at the vet, which couldn't do anything really. In the end, we needed to get him euthenazied. My first cat, first pet and I didn't imagine I would care so much for a little creature.
He was the kind of cat that would sleep on your chest, he could play fetch, and he would come to the door when I was on my way out, and demanded to either be picked up or get me down on a knee (even though there were others at home) so he could do this weird and very cute thing where we kind of chewed on my nose while purring insanely.
You are not wrong. In this graph it seems like 2002 - 2012 was the calmest period in a very long time.

Actually kind of an interesting graph. Seems like there is a pattern of 10 years of conflict and tension and then a either a hold or another 10 years with a calm period.
I definitely get that! And it is definitely an issue. Personally, I feel like the state of the world is constantly knocking on my door. It's almost claustrophobic. I vote for parties and politicians I believe in, I try to avoid supporting the ones who try to fuck up our world by not using their products or buy them.
But besides that, I not sure what else I can do, and I'm definitely up for suggestions.

I have a filter on
My All Feed is basically empty now or consists of posts with zero or very few comments. I love the filter option, but it has also made it quite clear what is being pushed the most on Lemmy.
Fedt med transparens! Har I skrevet ned et sted hvad de månedlige omkostninger dækker? Hvilken hosting løsning der er valgt osv? Og prisen må vel stige med antallet af subscribers? Eller hvordan fungerer det?
Jeg fik 12 indpakkede bøger af mine kone i julegave. Én til hver måned. Til hver bog har hun skrevet en intro hvor hun har skrevet om fx hvad forfatteren er kendt for, tiden bogen er skrevet i, hvis der er en bestemt skrivestil det er værd at være opmærksom på, og andre stilistiske greb, som man måske som lægmand overser i gamle klassikere.
Jeg har ikke pakket nogle af bøgerne op i endnu, så jeg ser virkelig frem til at komme i gang med det.
