The issue is that even the same brand can have multiple USB fingerprint scanners, which may not all work.

From a 4y old reddit thread some person found a fingerprint scanner which worked, but some other person who had a similar one didn't get it ot work.

Drms need to be installed and enabled on the browser. Drms like widevine and others.

If the drms aren't enabled and installed on the browser, and able to communicate to the service it's "safe", spoofing the user agent won't do anything.

Well you see, there is a reason I'm on windows, because I can't use Linux for what I need, unless... Maybe you want to do a commit on the Linux kernel and amd driver to enhance the libVF.IO compatibility for recent amd gpus? Oh and don't forget commits on overwolf for Linux/wine support and some other things too hmm?

Currently florisboard doesn't have prediction nor autocorrect prediction.

Due to complications in the development of that feature (either too heavy to run or not smart enough for prediction...) and the development of the app got stuck, until maybe recently where it seems to get some dev attraction on some topics.

Tho the prediction is still stuck. So you won't have yet prediction or smart things in this keyboard.

Only posts originating from your instance.

So only posts made by people from lemmy.world.

When you post something, the post is on lemmy.world.

For example, this is your post https://lemmy.world/post/7469149 . If you would post to another community, it would still be lemmy.world/post/xxx even if the community isn't on lemmy.world. But the post is attached to that community.

All is all the post from all the communities the accounts in your instance are subscribed to.

Then maybe I can make you discover a very nice tool : Winget or chocolatey whichever you want to use. They both can be used in cli.

However, I personally like the WingetUI software. Nice looking and supports winget, chocolatey, scoop and other. It also automatically checks for updates. It can either give you a notification, or maybe even auto update. Tho I'm not sure if it would solve your complete reinstall each time.

To install wingetUI : Search for powershel > open without administrator privilege > type "winget install wingetui" > enter. Follow and read.

Once installed you ca launch it and choose the sources (I recommend selecting winget and chocolatey at least, I like winget better than chocolatey as version numbers are closer to the real one). it also auto updates on launch.

And to install it, just search for it :

You can also install though winget or chocolatey without wingetui, but you'll have to update manually through the cli.

I like Firefox mostly because it's cool to have engine competition. I mostly use the default dark theme. It looks good enough for me. I don't look much at the top when browsing.

On android it's still lagging behind the chromium competition. And having mismatched browsers isn't great for syncing. So I just use Firefox on android too, good enough.

Tho, if miss matching wasn't an issue, personally I think I would use Kiwi browser. It's an open source chromium browser which supports chrome extensions.

Mot likely it won't need to have chrome. However maybe Google services may be required.

However it is also very likely, if a device cannot support such feature, it will only require a password and 2fa.

What are you talking about. Your country isn't an example of all europe.

In France the prices are extremely low for pretty much unlimited sms.

In other countries too. There are however disparities between countries and their prices.

I'm not talking about duckduckgo. Don't use duckduck.com. Use duckduckgo.com

And for reddit posts, as much as I want Lemmy to succeed, I cannot ignore reddit.

Sometimes an answer I'm looking for is there hidded between useless comments (if it hasn't been deleted or overwritten by the user).

Finished some time ago afterimage. Pretty good metroidvania. I liked it despite some negative comments, I did not find many of the issues described, or very little of it. Tho I used a map to find my way around collectables.

Recently finished hogwarts Legacy. It's pretty good too, but it's cursed with bugs and not sure if it's abandoned by the dav as there wasn't any update in 5 months. Tho most of the game is fine without game breaking bugs or too visible.

I started yesterday GRIME. Another metroidvania. For now it's a bit soon to have a real opinion, but it's OK.
