The entire growth vats system

[-] TheVillageGuy@rimworld.gallery 8 points 1 month ago

People who want games to be hardcore just gave a fetish for suffering or something.

If that's their way of having fun.. Why not

RimMonitor Work Tab adds an external Work tab to RimWorld, designed for editing colonist work priorities in a clear, scalable layout. It mirrors RimWorld’s vanilla priority system and is especially useful for large colonies where the in-game Work tab becomes difficult to manage.

This mod integrates with RimMonitor, which provides the external interface used to display and interact with the Work tab. The RimMonitor mod must active for this mod to function.

The Work Tab reads RimWorld’s authoritative work data and presents it externally without altering core game behavior. All priorities behave exactly as they do in the base game, and existing settings are preserved.

Requires RimMonitor

Linux compatible

This mod is work in progress

Having a second screen is highly recommended

If you like watching your RimWorld game and have a second screen, this mod is for you. It allows you to see what's going on, even on other maps. You can also control basic things like game speed and difficulty.

Alpha 5: The new priority screen works like in Rimworld. Track off means no stats are recorded whatsoever of a pawn, setting prio to 0 means stats are recorded but no images are shown. Sorting works as in rimworld, hold ctrl for a secondary sort

It can also make on demand full map captures up to the JPEG standard limits by pressing =. That's really big, high quality JPEGS, if you want. Up to 128PPC, at 95% with 4:4:4 chroma subsampling. That's quality and quantity. You can then upload those images to https://rimworld.gallery/

Alpha 5
Introducing the priority system

Compatibility

Will likely interfere with other mods that touch Unity cameras. Haven't seen issues with progress renderer yet but they may collide if they're triggered on exactly the same frame.

Linux: requires libgdiplus

Making very large captures requires heavy system specs

Please join the RWP discord and let me know your ideas and bugs you find

Greetings!

I am working an a mod and would like to invite you to join the alpha testing phase

RimMonitor allows you to monitor what is going on in your game (as the name suggests), also on other maps

Requirements A second screen. This mod is of no use to you if you have only one screen The mod will cause lag in your game. I don't know what the threshold will be for minimum system requirements, but I guess that's part of the testing

Depending on the outcomes of this testing I will determine if the project is worth pushing forward, so your feedback is valuable to me

If you are interested, please join our discord and let me know. You will be added to the testing channel and will have access to the latest alpha

Why only on the doctors? If one of your colonists gets downed, they drop their medicine so you have even more available for the doctors!

Steam Workshop::More Ova (steamcommunity.com)

Beer isn't just for unwinding after a long day of hauling—it’s the Rim's miracle elixir of fertility science! When your colonists get hammered, something magical happens: their bodies reboot their reproductive systems, allowing them to regain the ability to produce ova. Forget advanced biotech—just crack open a few cold ones and let nature (and alcohol) do the work!

Server upgrade

Good news;

The rimworld.gallery server has been upgraded to a dedicated vCPU, giving higher download speeds. Especially for Lemmy users this will mean less waiting for renders to download

The blood trail ending at the prison door is creepy

[-] TheVillageGuy@rimworld.gallery 5 points 2 years ago

It's always good to have the game running at 900tps and then hear a very large explosion while watching someone hunting and then move back to see your colony is no longer a thing

[-] TheVillageGuy@rimworld.gallery 25 points 2 years ago

Can't emphasize enough how hard it is

[-] TheVillageGuy@rimworld.gallery 6 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Past day 120 so no more mining, we have to be fully self sufficient. We grow cotton to make clothes, which we sell for construction materials to expand. Part one

[-] TheVillageGuy@rimworld.gallery 5 points 2 years ago

I did that on my first run. It was in fact not that hard as back then animal migrations were insanely large. But then after an update all solar panels were gone as they'd increased in size. Eventually I continued but had already gotten accustomed to some qol mods like moody and numbers so just continued modded.

Bed rest at a higher priority than tending can lead to this

[-] TheVillageGuy@rimworld.gallery 5 points 2 years ago

No, and a fire would have ended this colony
