Hey that extension works by spoofing/lying. This strategy is horrible, as many organizations such as Google and Cloudflare can see around it with their algorithm's that force your device to render graphics. Please see our article,

Refusal to check out it, I would unfortunately consider malicious propaganda, as you'd be outright suppressing a good alternative and knowledge. I view your comment no different than writing "Use Bitcoin" on a Monero post.

I'm confused by your message. RebelNet.me does NOT compromise Monero's privacy in any way. It separates social id from financial id. And someone can self-host it.

do you give the talk remotely via type-to-talk audio? I think you should find a different voice than the one used on MoneroTalk which is really hard to listen to. I know there's few open source ones, let me know if you find any good ones. The default linux one in the package manger is horrible

agreed, this is the battle. I'm saying, it helps to have the people that already know and use Monero on-board

Actually, Bitcoin is sold by regulated entities with KYC laws & approved by the SEC.

Monero is AnCap.

Why do you say its malevolence?

Don't you think it's more likely they don't think its worth the effort?

For example Gab is barely making money on Bitcoin, so they might not see that Bitcoin's fees and HODL mindset are what's holding them back

How come the fees and which node (public or not) made such a difference if the issue was processing power? The bottleneck?

I'm sorry to hear you did not like the writing

You can't join group chats of any decent size on Synapse. Put your money where your mouth is, how much you want to bet that you can't setup synapse on a $5 hetzner and join the official Matrix.org group chat?

If you just use a VPN, doesn't that solve it? Or you're talking about hosting the server in your home?

We need to separate the code from the people running the service. Which is not possible with signal.

I am NOT saying the average person should be concerned with CIA spying. What I’m saying is that one should promote decentralized internet infrastructures that empower the individual over corrupt institutions, even though this threat model likely does not apply to you. XMPP is just as easy to use use as Signal.

If you use Signal messenger, you have to trust the Signal foundation, which uses Amazon’s AWS for the cloud. So you’re trusting CIA military contractors. I am NOT saying that Signal is a CIA tool. What I’m saying is that you are trusting and obeying a centralized authority, as opposed to being able to run code on your own server. And this contributes to the centralization of the internet and a loss of freedom.
