The problem with analyzing Patrick Bateman is that it's like analyzing Jason Voorhees or Mike Myers. Bateman doesn't really have a character outside of just being a sadist.

. Captain Hero from Drawn Together, He's hyper sensitive to criticism, obsessed with self-image and how he's seen by others and preoccupied with fantasies of wealth and recognition. Wikipedia says he supposed to be "sociopathic" but to me he's fits the bill for NPD more than anything else.

I understand what you're saying. I've been thinking of alternative timelines and all of the good ones involve being rich. I would do anything to live in a big fancy mansion with my boyfriend in somewhere warm and have so much money I could just go to any shop I want and buy whatever without thinking of the price. Every way you look at it being rich is ideal. This is why I would love to be a 1970s rockstar. Steady and huge flow of income, adoring fans, fame, endless opportunities, sexy groupies and all the drugs and alcohol you could want but I am stuck in my stupid, miserable life.

Easier said than done. I was never the best student in school at best I only ever got B's and C's and I had to repeat the 7th and 9th grade. I was a super senior I graduated at age 20. I understand I'm not as impressive as other people but I'll be dammed if I didn't work my ass off for what I've got.
