Well, I get your point. While it is true that in the internet people use slang left and right, some topics that are important and shouldn't be taken lightly are often seen with those words. Here are some points off the top of my mind that are in favour and against them:

• It trivialises the topic and makes it easier for normies to interact with it. (Positive)
• It trivialises the topic, making it sound unrefined and flawed by speech only. (Negative) About 4chan, even trans people like me whom I've met online are absolutely wretched and have the most disgusting talking points and patterns of speech. But, based it very much considered the normie speech now of people in their late 20s and early 30s. The pilled thing too, for better or for worst. The news "arguments", yeah, they are just awful and stupid. I agree 100% with you
