I remember my mother taking me into a store when I was a child where people were striking.

I asked why they were yelling since I couldn't read the signs. I was told "because they're lazy and think they should be paid more than people like your father"

It was many years before I understood what they were mad about, and that they do NOT believe they should be paid more, they believe everyone should be paid more but they only have control over their own employment.

Nowadays whenever I see employees striking, I give them a little fist out the window and a meep meep and shop somewhere else.

Don't cross picket lines, your nacho cheese or deodorant can be bought somewhere else. Bonus points if you call the employer to inform them that you are shopping elsewhere until their employees conditions have been met and they decide to end the strike.

It's a good thing those torches are still burning after thousands of years, otherwise you would have needed a flashlight!

"That cleaned up pretty nice, I think maybe I’ll keep that after all"

"tough shit, old man, you had your chance and you gave it away. $10 million and it's yours though."

Entirely depends on your relationship with your dad, though, but mine would just roll his eyes and say "fine I'll just get a new one." neither of us would in any way feel upset about it, and have a small chuckle while retelling it later.

Damn, I guess I either have some lifestyle changes to make, or I've got to tell my wife I'm actually homosexual.

Because I'm not cutting my hair.

Although, I do like to feel pretty sometimes, so maybe it just knows something I don't yet?

In my experience, it's either total incompetence of the people in charge, or it's malicious in order to "catch" people doing something bad.

Like a bait car, but way more malicious since the person getting in the metaphorical car doesn't even know it's not their car because the keys worked, and nobody bothers stopping them for a few days so they get extra criminal charges.

Moving countries to provide a better life for your progeny will do that.

I genuinely think the author just put those two together because they knew everyone was expecting Harr-mione to happen. Tried to subvert expectations.

As someone who never planned on playing Balatro, and was kind of getting tired of seeing it on my feed the way I got tired of helldivers 2 stuff right after release.

I would happily toss a tenner to the dev for a lawyer over this.

Tldr people try to game image recognition, word filters, etc to increase visibility of their post on social media. It works.

People are slaves to the algorithm, even if they claim to not care. If you alter your post to increase visibility, you are playing by it's rules.

By censoring even potentially blockable words, not only are they improving the odds it will go to a wider audience, they get people to comment "why is that word censored/why is there a random dot/erase spot?" which drives up engagement stats, thus sending it to even more people.

full repariations

And surely such reparations would take into account future lost revenue, as they would be expected to it this were a regular person against a corporation.

Surely.
