There are two major media cults in USA:
-
Fox News media cult, consumers of "wealth televangelism" of Rupert Murdoch content creators, who are attracted to Donald Trump media press content. They adore powerful billionaires, attracted to lordship symbolism. Joe Rogan, Tucker Carlson, Elon Musk Twitter / X media platform, many others provide this media cult content.
-
People who hate Donald Trump, who constantly talk about Russian piss tapes fetish, Donald Trump shitty / poopy diapers fetish, Donald Trump fashion and cosmetic, his orange skin color, Donald Trump's golf course visits. This media cult is attracted to Donald Trump content to mock the status symbol of POTUS on the world stage. These cult aficionados flock to surreal humor, absurd comedy, gallows humor, insult comedy, symbolism arrangement humor, and mass dehumanization mockery that Donald Trump and Elon Musk generate from the White House / Twitter social machine media platforms.
There are many variations of media cults, like Catholic vs. Protestant readers of the same storybook, The Bible imported from the Levant to North America. They all adore fiction storytelling, they are media cults of fiction and avoid intelligent non-fiction at all cost. They adore the mocking that Donald Trump White House provides since Q4 2014, the total mockery of humanism in favor of media content and media machines (HDTV for Fox News, social media machines for meme streaming networks like Twitter, Reddit, Bluesky, etc).
The fact they are addicted to Tweet-length and Tweet-think is the problem. Neil Postman's book is only 184 pages, it is in any used bookstore from 1985 for probably $6 cost. "large amounts of text, not knowing someone’s credentials" - Neil Postman is not difficult to read, there are even videos that cut the subject down to brief consumption.

I understand what you are saying, that TLDR and ELI4 stuff sells better. I have known that since Neil Postman's book came out in 1985. I'm entirely self-aware of how I communicate and the kind of craving and advice you have about how to mimic Donald Trump and Elon Musk and be much more popular in year 2025 on social machine systems.
