I read western people speculating that the Lebanese army would intervene with israel to go against hezbola and destroy them (hezbola). Turns out, more propaganda or miscalculation.

Their main advantage was and is propaganda victory pieces for internal and western consumption, as long as that can be maintained it is the priority.

For food, Russia seems like it could replace the US and EU, now or gradually. They are growing a lot in that sector, they can export via trains directly into China in a smaller distance, and they would be interested in more imports of chinese goods and services.

Not even the friendly Amman regime has it safe with israel.
