I suggest first deciding exactly how you’re going to use your home network. Pick your smart switches and speakers, whatever else you want, then work backwards to what network support works best with your choices. Smart switches can be picky in some environments.

House pre-wired for ethernet but never used, I do not know where these white and blue cables are ran to, how to figure out where? More in comments in c/[email protected]

You need a tone and tracer, with a bit of knowledge how to use it for this type of house cable. The traceable field is very tight.

Wouldn’t they just exploit VPN strategy to get around these possible blocks? I assume they also assume these things and establish workarounds.
