A bone-hurting number of people died in the Maui firestorm because of traffic & nobody getting rid of downed trees & live power lines the police were roadblocking people from, a number of people ignored their instructions & drove around or offroad and they survived. They do go over the police response extensively though. I think in light of other cop responses to mass shooters it's less shocking. They're just fucking cowards. Maybe there was a spec ops team in there next to his body firing with an LMG. I don't fucking know.
