Pardon, I had understood that you agreed with their position.

Being human is immutable, no matter your religion or criminal record. The problem here is that you seem to think that some form of moral high ground gives you the power to deprive someone of their humanity, and frankly I find that disgusting. No one gets to decide who is human and who is not.

I really dislike their game, but the creators were always pretty based.

That's ... actually a pretty good pitch. I think I would also split the character in combat to avoid having one player be idle for several hours or even sessions in case a very long boss fight happens.

Not sure if this is appropriate to this example, but these paper/cardboard wrappings can save on plastic: The inner container can be made thinner and is generally easier to recycle, as there is no need for printability or pretty finishes (not saying that they are being recycled, but they could).

Toxicologists and medical scientists looking for data on humans suddenly having to learn Japanese (or German) ...

Trust me bro(ette): Rubber duck is the SHIT. I don't even program save for a few rare instances, but any complex issue where you just know something is wrong but can't quite put your finger on it? It works miracles. A lot better tbf if you are actually explaining it to someone who can ask questions, but any object that you can look at is a good substitute.
