yeah, he was def playing a bit more like Jack than Patrick
You know, I'm just realising that maybe AdmiralPatrick might have a bit more in common with his name sake than I originally considered. It doesn't make what he did okay. -Like the augments trying to give classified war plans to the enemy- but it does reframe it a little bit. pure speculation on my part but curious. Tenforward was my fav too but I'm settling into this account before I start making another alt.
I have my own opinions worth posting. Discussions and defenses of modern trek as well as an opinion on the writing that is more than just 'they went woke'
I saw that one, but the posts are from 6 months ago.
What is the suggested star trek community to use?
Punishing the victims? really?
oh no! If I'm shadow banned from the trek communities I might actually be upset. I need my trek memes!
If he wanted to be a mod, then he should have done mod shit. You can't make a neutral product as a developer and then code it like a mod. The fact that he doesn't see the problem is the problem.
I don't care that he made a ban list. I don't care that I'm on it. I care that he sold a window into the community for others without telling the people using that window that he erased huge chunks of the community at large. Regardless of his opinions, that is what he did.
To do what? Gentrify Lemmy? You can't come into Tortuga and try to sell it as a resort by putting a tarp over the pirates mate.
No thank you. Futurama ended with Comedy Central for me. As far as I'm concerned it was a perfect ending for a rocky but charming show. I don't engage with it outside of fan communities anymore.
I remember in school always wondering why people didn't take up arms against things like genocide. Then I lived it.
...then later I discovered that school didn't teach me anything about the violence that happened to actually make the world I enjoy. They want you to forget that violence is an option
