Well there is round sync, an rcx fork but that one of outdated too, now. Quiet sad as I really liked it.

Rsaf is different and does need a file manager as a helper. It's still a great tool and I switched to it too from round sync. It's well maintained.

Well, you can export from and to linkwarden and are far as I remember from the last time I tried it, you can export a generic json (which can't be used to import to your browser). Not sure what changed since then, the New changelog says you can import omnivore exports now.

The update sound great. I tested both linkwarden and hoarder multiple times (via self-host). I will eventually migrate to one of them but imo it's still way to early. There are still way to many features missing to replace my Firefox bookmarks, which are extensively tagged and setup with shortcuts.

But the most important features which both apps are missing is a "generic" import and export function. Most importantly being able to import and export from the browsers but also from and to the competitors (linkwarden to hoarder and back...). I don't like being vendor locked, especially with open-source apps.

That being said. Feature-wise you are getting there So I'm positive that I'll use it in future. Keep up the great work.

Yeah, I know magic earth but as you said, it's closed source. Also it's only a navigation app. You can't easily search and browse restaurants, like with organic maps or Google maps. Not intuitively at least. So you would still need a second app for that.

There are APIs that can be used though obviously that depends on the country of region. That's surely not easy to implement but they're where money funds come to play.

Obviously, even money can't just magically bring in features, that's for sure.

Would be awesome if this somehow results in in-app life traffic data but I doubt it.

The Zen Browser seems to be the most promising Firefox fork. It seems well balanced between features and privacy.

Second this. I have had some weird freezes with the recent thunder updates so I installed raccoon. It's not as feature-packed as thunder but you can set up enough UN's it's really nice looking.
