Too much to write, need to narrow your options.
Old Petrie town is worth a Sunday visit for quiet day with the family. Markets and steam and fire museums.
Try to avoid the highway traffic at peak hours is beyond rediculous, 2 lanes north mostly and it backs up for hours.
Noosaville and Mooloolaba have some nice beaches but will be a bit too cold for a few more months, underwater world is ok for kids but I was disappointed.
Drive around the places you want to move to at peak hour. There is a boom in people moving here so prices have recently gone crazy. The further away from the city, the worse the traffic, so unless you can work from home or public transport. Rentals are basically not available.
How the hell do we still allow logging of native Forrests? I have elived in older qlders made of hardwood and it's a crying shame to know how many trees have been felled for crappy housing, let alone the old railway sleepers rotting all over Australia. Hundred year old trees felled, environments destroyed, all for a few dozen years of use.
Last time we had el Nino Brisbane nearly ran out of water, with those staged water restrictions etc, they were talking about trucking water in if needed. If this is worse expecting some harsh restrictions.
How does that work? Aren't we all in the same grid?
I had conduit already in place but it ran to an office wall with a breaker box, the guy didn't ask and started banging a hole in my wall next to the box to mount the fibre box.. it could fit inside the breaker box easily. I'm not sure what he was thinking.
