The "corpo drones" in this case are people willing to follow the directions from Reddit/Advance Media, but not get paid.

Super Mario Bros. - I'm sorry for Hopper & Hoskins' experiences (RIP). But between the directorial chaos, editorial saves, and constant drunkenness, they turned out a pretty solid dark cyberpunk movie that feels more like "two New York plumbers save the day" than the recent movie. The visuals mostly still hold up, the story is okay. There's maybe a few things that could be improved, but overall I don't think it's all that bad.

I'm confident in saying that Speed Racer is the best Wachowski film.

I mean, Google has been unstable about AR for about ten years now. I'm not surprised at this decision.

So what's happening is that drivers' licenses which clearly say they're not recognized as ID won't be recognized as an ID? I'm not seeing an issue, then.

I was a recruiter previously - I've since thankfully gotten out of the profession. But ATS systems, and any training data they throw off for an AI to model, are going to be built on job order and job description keywords, and how they match up to CV writing. That data will be biased, just as an ATS is biased, toward those people who write more keyword-dense documents with less outside content.

If one race or one sex is better at writing focused and keyword-dense content, that's not something that the software should be blamed for. If the AI is looking for something more advanced than keywords as compared to job-order-listed BFOQs, I take serious issue.

I have been waiting for IRCv3 with bated breath for years now.

My feeling is, these states are making choices based on the beliefs of the elected officials. If the citizens of the states disagree with the elected officials, they have two possible reactions - move, or elect new officials whose beliefs coincide with the majority of the electorate. I have no problem with these state laws. I also have no problem with people moving (as I actually plan to do), to be with people whose beliefs better coincide with theirs. Pornhub absolutely is right to advocate, since they're a business being hurt by legislative action. I support their right to protest and advocate, and I hope that they're still making enough profit that they're not forced to capitulate and do something against their beliefs. I also support the state governments, and hope that the populace will make a clear decision.

The problem is that most of the usable, visible, Web is equal to that. Google & Microsoft control most of what we see. Pinterest controls image access. Meta drives engagement to companies, and Reddit drives linkouts. Twitter handles most major news sources. Occasionally there's a chance that StackOverflow or Quora put in a word or two.

Society leads us to ever larger communities. Corporations just make profit based on human behavior.

I don't think you're correct in your theory. I fully expect the Fediverse as a whole, with the exception of a few very tiny instances that won't have public signups, will deal with the problems that other social media have in the same way - ads, sponsored posts, monetization of user data, etc.. in the way the Internet accelerates, I expect it to happen within two years.

Why are you insulting a sweet little aye-aye by comparing it to Spez?

If you can prove that the data you're asking to have deleted is or contains PII, I'm sure they'll comply to the letter of the law. Outside of that, all content submitted to Reddit belongs to Reddit, Conde Nast, Advance Media, and all subsidiaries.
