Congratulations on having something that helped your life. That's honestly great. But come on you have to admit they manage to find a way to mess up your personal time. Like clockwork my daughter will start waking up/have a nightmare/want attention/etc a few min after I get time to read/study/game/Netflix/etc...

I work for an auto company. I can tell you they don't want mass transit because it hurts profits. They would much rather jack up the cost of vehicles, offer deals on leases, and keep people locked into getting a new vehicle every few years. Just keep the machine running and fuck anything except their profits. You will see how shady the auto industry is once the strike happens next week

I have worked in the auto industry for years and you are 100% correct. If you are white collar you basically get hammered with "UAW = bad". Talk of joining the UAW or starting a union is severely frowned upon. Before the last round of layoffs there was a lot of talk about forming a union. Haven't heard from those people since. Most were let go for poor performance or just left. Seems like management was able to squash the white collar union talk, well until shit like this comes up

I switched to Firefox years ago and don't regret it. There are some sites that don't play nice with FF, but for the most part it works better than chrome.
