Here's a plugin for Blender that works like Grasshopper for Rhinoceros3D: sverchok (which is Russian for grasshopper).

I'd rather avoid algorithmic modeling in JavaScript or in a browser.

I use Zed these days, but I'll never uninstall Kate.
