i don't think it's that republican policies reflect popular opinion but rather that popular opinion has turned against voting because it doesn't fix anything

it's like they took the main criticisms of the comedy central run's worst episodes and amped them up to 11 out of spite

every episode except the simulation theory episode was just the modern simpsons brand of "look! a current-ish thing you probably recognize! laugh please" topical humor
