Good to know, maybe I can... I dunno, start by going to a city hall meeting? I think I have some business casual wear I can throw on to be taken a little more seriously

I just moved into a new area, well in area that I used to live in and I remembered how lame it is. Most shops close at like 9:00 or 10:00. No nightlife to speak of, super family friendly and squeaky clean. Picturesque suburbs but I feel like I'm honestly trapped. But then it occurred to me. There might actually be something I can do about it, I mean there must be some reason why this village in particular closes super early and all the surrounding ones have normal times right? It's a smallish town, I must be able to do something, right? Anybody have any idea where I can start? Start to maybe bring some nightlife into this place, maybe some culture that isn't just aimed at upper middle class families with young children? Please let me know if you have any ideas, I've never done something like this before

Well for whatever it is worth, I really hope you don't. I always figured if I got to that point I would pack up, break contact with everyone, leave everything behind and see how things are im Canada, or maybe bum it around Europe. I just figured if everything has gone to shit, nothing's stopping me from doing whatever I wanted

Gee it's almost like it was written in the title and you didn't read it before commenting

Unpopular take on Lemmy but I feel like I've actually really improved on my French in the last year using Duolingo

Its not the worst, and If I'm honest its not as annoying as the desktop view button, I hated that thing since day 1

One trick I found is disabling edge (renaming the install folder) basically disables half the bloat from even running, your copilot button just doesn't even load in

So i have vintage story, and it's not exactly on steam. I also have an ever changing list of mods and two gaming computers. I want to be able to have all my files from one update on the other and vice versa. What would be the best way to do this? my first thought was tortoiseSVN but i thought i would check and see if there's a more modern approach
