Wow. This is what makes Lemmy different from Reddit. On reddit, I'd be baited to rage-post repeatedly.

Anyway, apology gladly accepted, and I'm glad you aren't the person I feared you to be. I'm willing to keep my mind open on the Barbie movie, though everything I know so far points to anti-male themes.

Look for a GSI ROM. They generally work on any device that came out with Android 10 or newer.

In my case, someone did the work of overcoming Knox with their own ROM, etc. Right now my galaxy tab 2019 has LineageOS 20 and a microg setup through magisk. It supplies the spoof fix systemlessly. You might be able to use the same ROM, which is a GSI by Andy Yan.

I agree that if it is already AAC, it should not be changed as it has the highest fidelity and best compression.

While AC-3 is not the best, it and AC-4 are the only formats i know that can encode TrueHD and Atmos metadata, so that should be kept it it is there.

Any transcode will lose fidelity unless the target codec is lossless, and I don't think AAC has a lossless mode.

Vs code fits the bill as a good cross platform .NET IDE. It is also a really good Standalone text editor.

Well, if I'm on my laptop, I just use the browser. It's much easier, and they don't sqawk at me because it is "rooted" - even though it has always been rooted.

I have found a library that had equipment to transfer to DVD, however if the tape has copy protection it won't work. I'll find out. Plus, I can buy a DVD version - I found it in searches - but I already own this and don't want to buy it again.

Yep, i agree that it's ludicrous that manufacturers literally removed features over time and simultaneously raised prices.

I like to have music, pics, etc., local, too. However I'm not going to take a subpar device just to have SD, so I compromise.

I rotate my music selection. I offload older camera media to my NAS at home, etc. Since where I am, I get WiFi almost every where I go, I can remote connect to my NAS. I rarely do because I have to deactivate my protective VPN to use my personal VPN for my link (safety first). So I'm effectively in the same situation.

When Google first announced that external cards were "evil", I knew instantly that was because they want us to store our data in their cloud. Various articles, marketing flat out pushed that solution.

Don't have to imagine. Change your metaphor from hammer to car, and you're experiencing it in realtime.

Sure. Let's see... There's this: Tech Layoffs Likely Pose No Deterrent to Record H-1B Visa Demand

Continued growth in H-1B registrations despite mass layoffs undermines the idea that the demand is based on labor shortages, said Ron Hira, an associate professor of political science at Howard University.

Tech workers willing to rake lower pay

This illustrates how widespread these layoffs are: More than 219,000 global tech workers have lost their jobs this year

In every other industry, hiring continues to be robust, yet pretty much the entire tech industry is in a depression. Why? Even the companies having "weak" earnings last quarter continue to do well financially.

They have maps with USA style addresses, updated monthly. They cover pretty much everything. So that would solve your address search Problem in OsmAnd.

There is also a google traffic overlay.
