Sure but the title sounds interesting on it's own and prompted me to learn what it was. It's clickbait but there's no bait and switch when you visit the article.

And the description gives enough clue for me what the article is going to be about:

What happens when a large open source project dies.

Edit:

And I find that focusing too much about upvotes won't make for a good community experience. If the material is good the upvotes will eventually arrive.

Unproductive Engineer here: I am not productive because of constant meetings about doing things. I am now not productive because of Meetings about doing things using AI.

Edit: Forgot to add, Senior engineers are too overloaded to do any PRs.. So usually it takes them weeks to get around to looking at the code the manager wanted pushed two weeks back. And often, they miss stuff that seems obvious in hindsight because they are burnt out. The genius solution by management: Copilot code reviews. Yes, AI gets to nitpick about the curly brackets and tabs vs. spaces all over again.

When it's been advertised to the user as "full self driving", is it?

I wouldn't believe an advertisement.

Sure this applies only if you also think that Chappelle should also be tarred and feathered. But you're here wanting to forgive both of them.

She will find out that she can't buy anything she wants when she can't even consent.

I don't agree with your argument.

Making a human go to prison for wiping out a family of 4 isn't going to bring back the family of 4. So you're just using deterrence to hopefully make drivers more cautious.

Yet, year after year.. humans cause more deaths by negligence than tools can cause by failing.

The question is definitely "How much safer are they compared to human drivers"

It's also much easier to prove that the system has those issues fixed compared to training a human hoping that their critical faculties are intact. Rigorous Software testing and mechanical testing are within legislative reach and can be made strict requirements.

"Overstepping its purpose" is key for "you were supposed to pretend to punish capitalists, not actually do it"
