I use both wired and Bluetooth. I have a wired type-c for music and Bluetooth for all other stuff. But IMHO Bluetooth is more convenient than wired. Cae produce better sound.

Will I still get the random encounters if I don't do any of the story. in c/[email protected]

Depends on the location. You have to do some of the story missions to open new locations on the map.
