Online servers cost money.

Id rather an online game charge me a monthly subscription and give me access to all content rather than ftp with half the content in the cash shop.

Primarily defining what extractly is an observer or the point of wave form collapse I suppose.

I did that for my employees this year.

Pissed off I've client who wanted us to work on their project this week because it's when they are least busy.

When I demanded 20k to pay out my guys to make them miss their week off they backed down.

If anything, that supports the idea that the poll numbers should be even harder against the war than they are reported.

The crux is here.

Then I'll do something else that pays more.

What separates skilled from unskilled labor is that the unskilled labor force have no skills to do something else that pays more.

While I support the idea that every job should pay a living wage, the idea that there shouldn't be a difference in pay based on the rarity of the skillset of the employee of question just isn't workable in am open market society.

And my guess would be Marcy being Polaski

And if you were German in the 1940s, you'd see everybody to the east of Germany as dangerous "Jewish Bolshevists" that must be exterminated at every cost.

False equivalency. Eastern European Jews never stated their intention was to exterminate the German people and they never carried out acts of violence in furtherance of that goal.

This statement reads like you don't believe Israel has any kind of legitimate security concern in Hamas, which we both know is insane.

Either way, my 'both-sideism' is mostly the ability to be empathetic to the situation both sides are in currently.

If I were a Palestinian in Gaza, I would be pissed at essentially being born into an open air prison with the boots of another that hates me in my neck all my life. I would be willing to fight, however I could, to strike back at my jailers.

If I were an Israeli, I'd see Gaza as filled with dangerous people who want to exterminate me an my family. I would ideally want them gone, but knowing that's not possible, id want them kept as non threatening as possible in their cage.

Neither side is wrong; if I were Israel I wouldn't want any kind of solution that empowers a group whose stated goal is my death. And I can't blame the anger of the residents of Gaza for their treatment over the decades.

Correct, the state passed a law allowing those cases where statue of limitations have been passed for criminal trails to still sue their attacker in civil court.

It's been suggested this was passed specifically to target Trump, but a good number of sexual assaults never go reported and I believe a few hundred cases have come from this law.

It has since expired, it was only valid for one year.

[-] [email protected] 7 points 2 years ago

Nah, it's neither.

It's that while I do enjoy whatever it is, if it were to disappear because I'm ad blocking and won't sub then .. ohh well?

There are a select few groups I actually care about and I donate to them (like PBS).

Anything else will either find a way or die but I don't care which.

Because he can't be trusted to share power.

McCarthy had two choices:
Do what the freedom caucus wanted and never see anything pass the Senate.
Make a deal across the isle and get some work done.

He dragged his feet, hymed and hawed and eventually caved in on option 2 as it's the only reasonable one.

Then he proceeded to attack those who he just made a deal with the very next day.

He could have instead said that real leadership is finding compromises that move things forward but he's lose MAGA voters who see the government burning down as an upside.

So he sold his soul, again, to those crazies and yet again proved he isn't reliable.

Does this benefit the House as an organization?

Absolutely not. But the clown show that will follow in the next few weeks will make the GOP look horrible at least.

And maybe, just maybe, some of the more sensible parts of the GOP will come to the Democrats with a power sharing deal that will completely neuter the freedom caucus once they see how hopeless their situation is.

Don't blame them for not wanting a bunch of night clubs open until 2 am.

It's fucking horrible.
