I've seen... Primer and Gattaca.

Honestly, it's really not. It's rather trivial to find marriage records to find the original name.

Maybe it's the same for legal name changes, I don't know. I've never searched for it before.

But anytime I've had to find out someone's maiden name, it's been trivial for me to do so.

The law doesn't apply to changes due to marriage.

There probably aren't too many others who have had a name change.

Apparently the plan was to disband the local department and merge it into the department of a neighboring area, then split the cost in an effort to lower the overall operating costs of police services in the area.

The other city they were going to do this with declined the deal and so this town had to keep their local force in tact.

Upon hearing that the city they worked for was trying to eliminate their jobs, a bunch quit.

We have quite a while yet. We spend about 200 billion servicing the debt right now and have around 4.8 trillion in revenue.

The warning line is having a debt equal to your GDP. The US has a GDP of around 28 trillion but a debt of 34 trillion. So we are past that warning line, but by itself that doesn't mean anything.

For other countries it would signal to banks and other countries that it might be a bad idea to loan to them, but the US has a kind of special status in the global economy and this hasn't slowed down loaning so far.

They are more efficient than pure ICE vehicles though in most situations.

At low speed and city driving the regenerative breaking can make a 30mpg motor into a 50-60 mpg motor.

I drove one for awhile and the efficiency is noticable.

As a Star Trek fan, I dread it.

Unfortunately Paramount is not turning a profit fast enough. So it's almost inevitable. They've made good progress though.

Q3 losses were at a quarter of a billion a quarter.

Last year Q3 losses were half a billion a quarter.

So the deficit has been halved but that's still a billion a year in losses they have to somehow plug.

It's such an odd argument. It's true that the democrat party is the party pre 20th century that supported slavery rights.

The deep south was a Democratic stronghold until around the 1950s when the party started supporting civil rights and social reform.

At this point the southern wing of the party broke off from the main party.

The Republican party was founded specifically by anti slavery activists in the 1850s and was rather neutral on civil rights issues post civil war until they saw the fracture in the Democrat party in the 1950s and used the opportunity to change their platform to oppose social reform in order to pick up those disenfranchised southern voters.

So saying the democrat party was the party of slavery during the civil war is one of those things that's technically true but has no bearing on the present.

Trump won't be able to withdraw from NATO; Congress is currently revoking the Presidents ability to unilaterally leave the alliance specifically in case Trump or another like him is elected.

Leaving NATO will now require an act of Congress, which makes it much more difficult for any president to do so.

The actual information you want for troubleshooting is in the mini dump and it's actually super useful.

Tracking down the cause of a Windows BSOD is pretty easy.

Of these I've watched 8 completely:

  • Battlestar Galactica.
  • Parks and Rec.
  • 30 Rock.
  • Chernobyl.
  • Game of Thrones.
  • Deadwood.
  • Halt and Catch Fire.
  • Bojack Horseman

6 others I've started and gave up on part way through:

  • The Last Airbender.
  • Atlanta.
  • Better Call Saul.
  • Breaking Bad.
  • Veep.
  • Reservation Dogs.

Of the rest, half of them I've never even heard of.

I guess I don't have good taste in TV?
