Hey, all. Y'all will have to excuse my ignorance for a bit regarding networking.
I have a current cable modem/router in my home. I live in a ~750 sq ft. apartment. We have the following devices that use internet:
-AppleTV (LAN wired)
-AppleTV (wifi)
-2 Smart TVs (wifi)
-Mac computer (LAN wired)
-Work laptop (wifi)
-2 Apple HomePod mini (wifi)
-~6 smart plugs (wifi)
-3 iPads (wifi)
-2 cell phones (wifi)
-PS5 (LAN wired)
-Playstation Portal (wifi)
My current modem/router is a 16x8. I'm wondering if a 32x8 upgrade will result in any imporvement.
Currently, most devices operate just fine. We stream all video content (no cable subscription) and occasionally, on the wifi AppleTV there is some buffering. I'm also trying to minimize lag and stuttering on my new Playstation Portal.
I don't know much about networking and would love some advice about how to maximize my home network.
Thanks!
The LAN speed test is more than what I paid for. I’m trying to figure out how to have the WiFi improve.
Thanks for the input, tho.
