I don't disbelieve the article, I've seen it on many news sites. The fact remains that the sun isn't a source of news. It's a tabloid, and has been caught lying countless times

To be very brief:
Beehaw seeks primarily to protect its users and create a space where they aren't going to be attacked for being who they are.
The Beehaw admins noticed they were dealing with a lot of hate from 2 lemmy instances which had open sign ups.
Beehaw defederated from those 2 instances.
There's been some kickback from people who think defederating goes against the core values of Lemmy.

I listen to a lot of different genres but I'm bad at sorting them so they're all just in a massiv playlist. The DJ plays them in little batches of similar genres which flows a lot better than the random shuffle
